With the lack of rain and summer heat, it is important to water properly so that your landscape and lawn stay healthy. Here are some tips on watering during the Summer months.
1. Water less frequently, but water deeper.
2. Water early in the morning or late in the afternoon, preventing the sun from stealing all your moisture.
3. Use drip irrigation instead of hoses or sprinklers so the water gets into the ground and into your plants.
4. Turf needs 1-1.5” of water per week. If nature doesn’t provide it, you have too.
