Mulch

Why should I use Mulch?

Mulch provides plants and trees with the same protection that insulation provides you in your home, it keeps the soil from getting too cold or too hot.

Mulch absorbs water. This provides ornamental plants with additional water that the soil alone wouldn’t give them

Mulch is a natural weed barrier. By keeping the weeds out of the soil, it prevents weeds from taking essential nutrients from ornamental plants.

As mulch breaks down, it aides in keeping the soil from compacting, while also providing some fertilization.

Mulch also helps protect plants from lawn mower damage, by creating a buffer between the mower and the plants.
